A few hours to get Free Shipping code via email

Their shipping price is pretty high to start. The items I intended to buy were seven pairs of socks, and, with the $10 shipping, I didn't order (wasted time). A few hours later, there was a Free Shipping code in my email, so I ordered. If they charged a reasonable rate for shipping, that would earn more business

Their website is a mess

Their website is a mess. Try and use PayPal and you get a dead end. Try to see your order history. Same thing. No communications when item is shipped. It’s all a mystery. I’ve bought with them since the 90’s. Sold to a corporate holding company and they’ve destroyed it. Greedy, supposedly Christian owner sold out and screwed his staff and destroyed the company.

total trash

That company is total trash. Sent me the wrong items which wasted me much time to return and agents were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They promised me to refund me the price difference of shipping cost but never did so. They either ignored my messages or denied it. Will file a dispute against them. They should cease to exist for sure.

How to get your order shipped

Hey all, I just recently made an order, no word on shipping after a 8 days so I called. Order was canceled because their system won't allow them to lose money on the shipping costs... I live in Hawaii, so it was probably a little more for them haha.
Anyways, I discovered if you choose the cheapest shipping option, generally they should ship your order. I tried again and it shipped within hours. Hope that helps.

Sierra Trading Posts website terrible

Sierra Trading Posts website sucks. A few years ago the website just went to crap. Half the time you click on a link and it doesn't even load. I have had it. Ordered from them for years. Trying to make a return, that I have to pay for, and the link doesn't work. By design? Perhaps. Have you ever tried to see your past orders? That broke for me about 2 years ago. They know its bad and could give a damn about fixing it after years. Over it. Not worth the trouble anymore.

Can't adhere to their own requirements

Purchased 5.10 MTB shoes for my wife. They did not fit, so I returned them, unworn and within their allotted return timeframe. They sent them back to me saying they were not re-sellable but with no specifics as to why. I used their instant refund and bought a different pair of shoes at the time I did the paperwork. Now, I am going to sell the shoes they say are unsellable and return the shoes I bought from them. They can suck it, and pay shipping. Screw you Sierra!

Do not order online with Sierra!

I tried twice to place an order with Sierra and they cancelled my order each time because my billing address did not match my delivery address -- they don't know how to verify billing addresses. And their customer service is horrible, making me go into my account every day for 10 days to find out status, live chat and email to try to advise them, and they still couldn't manage to process an order with perfectly legit information. Stay away from ordering online with this company!!

Cancelled order TWICE with no notification

I have ordered from Sierra twice now... BOTH Times for gifts, and both times order was cancelled without ANY notification. When I ask about the orders... THEN I am told they are cancelled because of the bank, yet the money is on hold in the account and there is NO issues with anyone else... WORST customer interaction, communication and service EVER! Will NEVER order again!

What is your return policy?-Just ordered a pair of Le Chameau boots-(a close out)-will be delivered by September 14th 2015-How long do I have to exchange or return-should they not fit?

Once you decide to make a return, you can apply online for an INSTANT CREDIT, whereby you will be charged $2.95 for return shipping. Then the item needs to be shipped and IN THEIR HANDS within TEN DAYS. If they receive the item later than ten days, you will be billed an additional $6.95. That said, Sierra Trading Post often gives six months for you to decide if you want to return the item, but recently I have noticed that their policy has changed and some items are not returnable at all. I hope this helps -- I am just figuring out the recent policy changes myself.
